Pickup from Jodhpur Airport or Jaisalmer Railway Station and transfer to our resort inside the Desert National Park. After settling in and dinner, begin the first remote Astro-Landscape Photography session, returning around sunrise.

Explore a remote sand dune landscape during golden hour for planned landscape photography, followed by a hands-on post-processing session. After dinner, venture into a new location inside DNP for an all-night Astro-Landscape session.

Head to another secluded dune landscape for sunset photography before returning for post-processing and preparation. After dinner, travel deep into the wilderness for another night of desert and celestial photography.

Our final afternoon takes us to another remote dune location for the last golden-hour sessions. After dinner, embark on the final night expedition into DNP and photograph beneath the stars until dawn.

After breakfast and rest following the final night expedition, check out and begin the return journey to Jaisalmer Railway Station or Jodhpur Airport, concluding our journey through the Thar Desert.

Even without a camera, there’s so much to experience: walking barefoot on golden dunes, watching the sun dip below the desert horizon, listening to the silence of the night under a sky full of stars, and connecting with the timeless spirit of Rajasthan.

You won’t feel left out at any moment — this journey is about feeling the soul of the desert, whether you’re framing it through a lens or simply soaking it in.

Please note that although you may join as a non-photographer, the tour cost remains the same for all participants, as every logistical arrangement — including transport, accommodation, permits, meals, and on-ground support — is provided equally to everyone.

To confirm your participation, a non-refundable deposit of INR 19,000.00 is required. This can be paid in two installments of INR 9,500.00 each, with the full deposit to be completed at least 60 days before the tour start date.

Your seat will be confirmed only after the full deposit amount is received in EXPOSURE’s account.

The remaining balance of INR 19,000 must be paid online at least 45 days before the tour start date.

By registering for the Jaisalmer Photo Tour with EXPOSURE, you agree to the following terms and conditions regarding cancellations, payments, and refunds. These terms are binding for all participants without exception.

1. PARTICIPANT-INITIATED CANCELLATION

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or registered post. The effective date of cancellation is the date your request is received by EXPOSURE. Cancellation charges are calculated on the total tour fee (not just the deposit), regardless of the reason for cancellation:

• 91 days or more before the tour start date: Full refund, minus any banking or transaction charges.
• Between 90 and 46 days before the tour start date: 80% of the total tour fee will be charged.
• 45 days or less before the tour start date: No refund; 100% of the total tour fee will be charged.

Once the tour has started, no refunds will be provided for unused services, including accommodations, meals, transport, guiding, or missed segments of the tour.

Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 14 working days of written confirmation of cancellation and will be made using the original payment method, minus any bank or payment gateway charges.

2. NON-PAYMENT OR LATE PAYMENT

A non-refundable deposit of 19,000 INR is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 45 days before the tour start date.

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of your booking without any refund.

3. TRIP CANCELLATION BY EXPOSURE

In the unlikely event that EXPOSURE must cancel the Jaisalmer Photo Tour due to insufficient participants or unforeseen circumstances:

• A full refund of all payments, including the deposit, will be issued.
• Participants will be informed well in advance if a cancellation is being considered.
• EXPOSURE is not responsible for any other expenses incurred, including airfare, visa fees, extra hotel bookings, or equipment rental/purchases.

For this reason, participants are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage.

4. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

• All transactions, currency conversion, and bank charges for payments and refunds are to be borne by the participant.
• Participants must purchase travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and trip interruptions.
• Participation becomes official only after confirmation is issued by EXPOSURE upon receipt of your deposit and acceptance of these terms.
• By submitting your payment, you agree to all terms outlined in this Cancellation & Refund Policy, which are final and non-negotiable.

The Desert National Park (DNP), Jaisalmer, experiences a hot and arid desert climate, characterized by dry air, low humidity, strong sunlight, and significant temperature variations between day and night. April offers warm, dry conditions and generally clear skies, creating excellent opportunities for landscape and astro-landscape photography.

Daytime temperatures can generally range between 30°C to 40°C, with strong sunlight and rising heat during the afternoon. Conditions can feel more intense when travelling or shooting in open desert terrain.

After sunset, night-time temperatures generally range between 15°C to 22°C, offering much cooler and more comfortable conditions for extended astro-landscape photography sessions. However, temperatures can feel cooler with strong desert winds.

The remote areas of DNP offer very low light pollution and wide-open horizons, providing excellent conditions for capturing the Milky Way and night landscapes.

Participants should be prepared for:
• Strong sunlight and hot, dry conditions during the day
• Cooler temperatures during late-night and early-morning shoots
• Strong winds, blowing dust, and sand in exposed desert areas
• Significant day–night temperature fluctuations
• Long outdoor sessions in remote desert environments
Light, breathable clothing, sun protection, sunglasses, a hat, and adequate hydration are essential for staying comfortable throughout the tour.

Disclaimer: Astro-landscape photography is highly dependent on weather and atmospheric conditions. While the remote areas of Desert National Park are known for dark skies and generally clear conditions, factors such as cloud cover, strong winds, dust, haze, or sudden weather changes can affect night-sky visibility.

Despite careful planning based on moon phases, weather forecasts, and historical conditions, clear skies cannot be guaranteed every night. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, and alternative locations or shooting opportunities will be explored whenever possible.

The experience is designed to maximize your chances of capturing the night sky, but natural weather and atmospheric conditions remain beyond our control.

Our Desert National Park Landscape & Astro-Landscape Photography Tour will begin and conclude in the Jaisalmer–Jodhpur region, taking you deep into the remote wilderness of the Thar Desert and Desert National Park. For convenience, participants can join the tour from Jodhpur Airport, Jodhpur Railway Station, or Jaisalmer Railway Station.

Please note that the tour includes only one fixed pickup and one fixed drop-off, with no multiple pickup or drop-off timings. Kindly plan your arrival and departure accordingly to be present at the designated pickup/drop-off point at the scheduled time. BY AIR — RECOMMENDED

For participants travelling by air, Jodhpur Airport (JDH) is the recommended arrival point. Jaisalmer Airport (JSA) does not operate regular commercial flights during April, so participants planning to fly should use Jodhpur Airport. Jodhpur is well connected with major Indian cities through domestic flights. Pickup from Jodhpur Airport will be arranged according to the tour schedule.

By Train — Jodhpur

Participants travelling by train can arrive at Jodhpur Railway Station (JU), which is well connected to major cities across India. Pickup from Jodhpur Railway Station can be arranged as per the tour schedule.

By Train — Jaisalmer

Participants may also travel directly to Jaisalmer Railway Station (JSM). Jaisalmer has regular train connections with major cities, including Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and other parts of Rajasthan. Pickup from Jaisalmer Railway Station will be arranged according to the scheduled tour departure. 

Return Journey

The tour will follow the same route on the return journey, and participants will be dropped off at their respective starting points:

• Jodhpur Railway Station (JU)
• Jaisalmer Railway Station (JSM) 

Participants planning onward flights or train journeys are advised to keep sufficient buffer time after the scheduled drop-off, as travel through remote desert areas and road conditions may occasionally cause delays.
