Soumya Banerjee is a landscape and astrophotographer based in India. Born and brought up in Kolkata, his fascination with mountains took shape in the eastern Himalayas of North Bengal and Sikkim, where his visual journey began.

A Computer Science Engineer and consultant by profession, Soumya discovered his passion for astrophotography in 2018, marking the start of a creative pursuit that seamlessly blends technical precision with artistic expression. His work is driven by a deep appreciation for both terrestrial landscapes and the night sky, capturing the profound connection between Earth and the cosmos.

Over the years, his photography has received numerous awards from reputed organizations in India and has been featured on prominent international platforms including *AAPOD2, **Astronomy Magazine* and *EPOD by Universities Space Research Association*. His work has also been showcased in multiple landscape, travel, and astrophotography exhibitions across West Bengal, India.

In addition to his personal projects, Soumya has experience leading photography workshops across various locations with *Exposure*, mentoring photographers and sharing his passion for nightscapes and remote landscapes.
